This class is designed to help photographers learn the ins and outs of shooting digital cameras underwater. The Drafahls will help with all levels of underwater cameras from point & shoot cameras, to the more sophisticated digital SLR cameras. The activities during the week will include informative lectures, hands-on demonstrations, photo critiques, boat and shore dives, and plenty of time for answers to your questions. Since we want to maximize our diving time, all lectures will be held at 4:30 in the afternoon and additional lab time in the evenings in the roomy air conditioned classroom. Some of the topics to be covered are: digital camera operation, getting a good exposure, image resolution, proper lighting techniques, composition, macro tips, wide angle, white balance, RAW file conversion, image storage, databases, and basic image editing.
The 8 day/7 night hotel package includes unlimited shore diving, tanks, weights, weight belts, accommodation in your choice of a Deluxe Ocean View room, Junior Suite or 2 bedroom/2 bath Oasis Cottage (based on double occupancy), daily buffet breakfast, airport transfers, welcome drink, manager’s rum punch party, all service charges and taxes and photo class. You can add boat dives to your shore-diving package for $24 a boat trip and Nitrox for $60 for the week. The price does NOT INCLUDE AIRFARE or gratuity.
